2012 ESSAY WRITING CONTEST

Leaders of Tomorrow is celebrating its 2nd Annual Essay Writing Contest with a new introductory title:

How will I use my Community Service Hours to improve Mississauga?

The objective of this year's essay writing contest is to encourage volunteer work among the youth and young adults in the city of Mississauga. This program will coincide with the “volunteer program” mandated in Ontario schools as a condition for any student to graduate from high school. We asked students to tell us what impact their community service hours would have and how they see it affecting their community.

School principals and/or teachers are encouraged to request the Peel Regional Police or an authoritative speaker to do a presentation on the topic of Community Service Hours at your school. Not only will the students learn about the the importance of volunteering but will also find good material for the essay writing contest. Leaders of Tomorrow will gladly co-ordinate with you to set up a date and time for a presentation. Early booking is advisable to secure your preferred date. To book a presentation, email pierre@leadersoftomorrow.ca.
